30/30 Pleated Panel Prefilter

The 30/30 is Camfil's high-value first-stage panel prefilter, named for its defining performance claims: 30% greater media area and 30% longer operational life compared with the category average, achieved through radial pleating and a welded wire grid backing that maintains pleat spacing under variable airflow. At MERV 8 and MERV 9 (ISO ePM10-50% and ePM-55%), it captures coarse dust, fibres, and larger particulate before they load downstream bag or V-bank filters — extending the costly secondary stage's service life and protecting AHU heat exchangers, coils, and fan wheels from fouling.

Three frame materials — moisture-resistant cardboard with diagonal support, plastic, and galvanized steel — serve different installation contexts: cardboard for light-commercial single-use AHUs; plastic and steel for heavy-duty systems with higher face velocities or regular wash-down regimes. Standard module dimensions of 592×592 mm (592 or 595 mm depending on frame) fit international AHU standard filter sections directly.

Service life under documented conditions ranges from four months in ODA Class 3 environments (high outdoor dust) to twelve months guaranteed in commercial duty with the Dual 9 variant — an important specification for airport maintenance planning in high-PM GCC environments where filter change intervals must be pre-programmed into asset management systems. Compliance with FGI guidelines and ASHRAE Standard 170 makes the 30/30 compatible with airport medical facilities such as airline crew health centres and first-aid rooms. UL 900 listing is standard.
