Durafil Compact V-Bank Filter

The Durafil range is Camfil's high-capacity, high-efficiency V-bank filter family — a second-generation compact design where fine-fibre synthetic media is packed into a V-shaped pleat configuration within an all-plastic enclosing frame. The V geometry doubles the effective media face area relative to a flat panel of the same footprint, giving high dust-holding capacity and low resistance in a short installation depth. This combination — high efficiency, low pressure drop, long life — is what Camfil quantifies as the Energy Cost Index (ECI), and the Durafil ES³ variant achieves the top 5-Star ECI rating.

Variants span from the standard Compac (MERV 13–15, 4-Star ECI) through to the ES³ (MERV 13–16, 5-Star ECI, lowest lifecycle cost) and the NanoTech (MERV 14–15, nanofibre media, ISO ePM1-85/95%). The Compac Box reduces the installation footprint by 50% versus traditional 12-inch filters using an integrated plenum, enabling high-efficiency filtration where AHU filter section depth is constrained. Maximum airflow of 2,400 cfm (ES³ Box full-size) accommodates large AHU modules.

For airport facility managers in the GCC, where AHU fan energy is a major operational cost driver and filter changeout labour is expensive due to system access constraints, the Durafil's extended service life and low running resistance directly reduce total cost of ownership. It serves as the preferred final-stage filter where a HEPA terminal is not required — covering the vast majority of terminal, pier, cargo, and administration HVAC applications.
