The Hi-Flo is a multi-pocket (bag) style high-efficiency air filter designed for secondary and final-stage particulate duty in central air handling units and rooftop systems. Synthetic media pockets formed with Controlled Media Spacing (CMS) in a tapered geometry maximise the usable surface area without the pockets collapsing against each other under airflow, which keeps resistance low and extends service life well beyond standard bag filters.

In airport and aviation-facility HVAC, Hi-Flo variants cover the full range of intermediate and final-stage needs: the standard and HD models serve general terminal AHU banks; the ES series adds a 5-Star Energy Cost Index rating and a guaranteed 10-inch w.g. burst-pressure rating, making it the preferred choice where system static pressure spikes during filter loading or in variable-air-volume applications. The SR variant, with tear-resistant backing, is specified where blowout risk is elevated — a relevant consideration in high-static ducted systems serving secure areas.

For GCC airport operators, the low average pressure drop characteristic translates directly into fan-energy savings against the extended annual operating hours of Gulf climate AHUs. Molded plastic frames eliminate the sharp galvanized edges that can puncture adjacent filters during changeout. Available in depths from 12 to 30 inches, Hi-Flo fits standard AHU filter banks without bespoke housings. The MERV-A (atmospheric-dust) variants provide efficiency assurance under real-world dust loadings rather than test-dust conditions alone — important in high-PM outdoor air environments such as those prevalent across GCC sites.

Best for

Use cases.

  • Secondary or final-stage bag filtration in airport terminal AHUs
  • High-static ducted systems in secure or controlled airport zones
  • General commercial HVAC — offices, hotels, transport hubs
  • Pre-HEPA protection in sensitive-area AHUs (control towers, security screening)
  • Energy-cost-optimised filter banks with extended service intervals
