EngineWise Comprehensive
Full-lifecycle, rate-per-flight-hour engine fleet management — the highest coverage tier in Pratt & Whitney's EngineWise portfolio.
EngineWise Comprehensive is Pratt & Whitney's top-tier aftermarket service program, structured as a customised rate-per-flight-hour (RPFH) agreement that transfers the financial and operational risk of commercial engine maintenance from the airline to the OEM. Rather than facing unpredictable shop-visit invoices, the operator pays a fixed, agreed dollar amount for every flight hour the engine flies, and Pratt & Whitney absorbs the cost variation across overhauls, unscheduled removals, and life-limited part replacements.
The program is designed for operators flying Pratt & Whitney-powered narrowbody and widebody fleets — principally GTF-powered A320neo, A220, and A321XLR families, as well as legacy types including V2500-powered A320ceo variants — and can be structured to cover the full engine lifetime or a fixed contractual term. Coverage spans performance restoration shop visits, hot section inspections, module-level overhaul, on-wing repairs, technical field support, and access to spare engines from Pratt & Whitney's lease pool. Fleet data analytics and predictive engine health monitoring via the EngineWise Connect portal are integrated into the program, giving maintenance planning teams real-time visibility of fleet condition and upcoming shop-visit forecasts.
For a GCC operator — where high-cycle, high-temperature operations accelerate hot-section degradation — the cost predictability and time-on-wing focus of Comprehensive are especially valuable. Airlines such as AirAsia and Cebu Pacific have signed 12-year agreements under this tier; Turkish Airlines secured a 15-year deal covering 92 A321neo aircraft. More than four in five new GTF deliveries are attached to EngineWise maintenance agreements, with Comprehensive being the dominant tier.

Use cases.
- ›Long-haul and high-frequency narrowbody operators seeking to stabilise MRO budgets across multi-year fleet plans
- ›Airlines operating GTF-powered A320neo or A220 families wanting OEM-backed performance guarantees and spare engine access
- ›Lessors requiring contractual maintenance credit portability at lease termination
- ›GCC carriers flying high-cycle, hot-and-high routes where accelerated hot-section wear demands predictable cost management
- ›Fleet planning teams seeking integrated engine health data to optimise shop-visit scheduling and avoid AOG events
