Senstar FlexZone
Ranging fence-mounted coaxial sensor with metre-level localisation — up to 600 m per processor.
FlexZone is Senstar's fence-mounted ranging sensor: a loose-tube coaxial sensor cable attached to the fence fabric detects and locates any attempt to cut, climb or otherwise break through the fence. Unlike zone-based systems, FlexZone reports true distance - each alarm comes with a location along the fence accurate to +/-3 m, so operators and cameras are pointed at the exact point of attack, and it accurately locates intrusions even when there are multiple simultaneous attempts or background environmental noise. Each processor covers up to 600 m of fence with up to 60 distinct, individually sized software-defined zones, and processors network together across an entire airport perimeter. High-speed sampling plus location data lets its algorithms discriminate point disturbances caused by real intrusions from spatially distributed disturbances such as wind and rain, and EDAPT uses the precision ranging capability to account for local background noise before declaring an alarm - on every processor, networked or standalone.
A distinctive practical advantage is that the sensor cable itself carries both power and data down the fence line, reducing power-distribution and communications infrastructure on long runs. Protection continues even if the cable is cut. FlexZone works on chain-link, welded mesh, expanded metal mesh and palisade fences, plus non-standard fences and interior/exterior walls; an armored cable version covers barbed wire, concertina and other high-abuse areas, and per-meter sensitivity leveling adapts to changes in fence construction. Cable attaches with UV-resistant ties and the outdoor-rated processor mounts on a fence post - most perimeters install in a day. Swinging gates can be independent detection zones with latches monitored via the auxiliary input.
FlexZone is Sensor Fusion Engine ready, supporting Senstar's AI-based detection and nuisance-alarm rejection for high-risk perimeter sections. Alarms integrate through Network Manager into Senstar's video and security management software or third-party systems over Ethernet, RS-422 or fiber, sharing the network with other Senstar sensors. The FlexZone-60 is certified by the UK's NPSA against version 6.0 of the Barrier Mounted PIDS Standard.
