The pureLAV is TCI's proprietary aircraft lavatory, developed as the first domestically designed and manufactured lavatory module to emerge from Turkey's aviation industry. The product targets economy class narrow-body operations, where lavatory footprint, hygienic durability, and passenger perception of cleanliness are all commercially significant. pureLAV's defining feature set centres on contact-minimisation: the unit ships with a touchless flush mechanism, a touchless sensor faucet, and a step-pedal-operated waste flap, eliminating the three primary surface-touch points in conventional economy lavatories. An optional UVC sanitisation module can be specified for airlines prioritising post-use decontamination capability. Surfaces are treated with antibacterial and anti-stain chemistry across the washbasin, faucet surround, and service dispenser cover — materials selected to maintain hygiene appearance under the high cycle counts typical of short-haul or medium-haul narrow-body operations. The interior lighting design uses indirect LED ambient illumination behind a full-width mirror and under-counter mood lighting, with an illuminated secondary makeup mirror. This approach addresses a chronic economy lavatory shortcoming — inadequate lighting — while making the module feel larger than its physical footprint. A wider-than-standard washbasin and ergonomic faucet placement improve hand-washing ergonomics. Lavatory panels and surfaces are fully customisable in colour and texture, allowing airline livery and brand identity to be carried consistently through the cabin. The product was publicly unveiled at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg in 2022.
