The ZP610, marketed under ZIM's ZIMprivacy platform, is a fully-certified premium economy recliner built around a fixed back-shell with a forward-sliding Z-Cline kinematic joint. Rather than reclining the backrest into the space behind, the seat pan and backrest unit translates forward and down by six inches, preserving the rear passenger's full tray-table and laptop space even when the seat is fully reclined. A fixed privacy shell behind the backrest maintains visual separation between rows at all seat positions. The ZP610 entered service with SWISS International Air Lines on its A350-900 fleet at 39-inch pitch, followed by Lufthansa on the 747-8 and subsequently Air New Zealand on B787-9 aircraft in a 2-3-2 widebody layout — providing independently documented in-service references for the product. Air New Zealand's specification sets a useful benchmark: 19-inch seat width, 41 inches of legroom at pitch, eight inches of recline travel, a three-point seatbelt arrangement, and a forward-sliding fixed-shell mechanism that enables full recline during meal service. Standard equipment on the ZP610 includes a four-way adjustable headrest, large high-strength dining table, cocktail table, water bottle holder, literature bag, coat hooks, and enclosed aisle-side armrest for PRM compliance. An IFE monitor up to 15.1 inches, wireless charging, Bluetooth connectivity, and ambient mood lighting are available as options. The seat is certified for all standard widebody and narrowbody aircraft. For GCC carriers operating premium-economy cabins on Europe, Asia, and North America trunk routes, the ZP610 delivers a premium economy product with three major airline in-service validation points and EASA Part-21J design approval.
