AquaForce 30XV Air-Cooled Chiller / AquaSnap 30RC Air-Cooled Scroll Chiller

This listing covers two complementary air-cooled product lines that together address the full spectrum of aviation facility cooling loads where water-cooled infrastructure is not available or not justified.

The AquaSnap 30RC is a scroll-compressor chiller covering 10–250 tons (35–880 kW) on R-32 refrigerant. Scroll technology is inherently simpler than screw — fewer moving parts, lower starting torque, quieter acoustic signature — making the 30RC well-suited to noise-sensitive environments such as airport hotels, executive terminal buildings, and corporate aviation facilities located close to public areas. The AeroAcoustic fan system and Greenspeed variable-condenser-fan control keep sound levels low while sustaining IPLV values up to 19.0 and full-load EER up to 10.9. The unit operates from -20°F to 125°F (-29°C to 52°C) ambient and is ETL Listed and AHRI certified to ASHRAE 90.1-2019/2022.

The AquaForce 30XV is a variable-speed screw chiller at 140–500 tons (490–1,755 kW) on R-513A, designed for large-format rooftop or yard placement. Where the 30RC handles a single concourse wing, the 30XV can serve an entire terminal building with a single refrigerant circuit, reducing plant complexity. Its microchannel coils with e-coating option and a rated ambient ceiling of 125°F (52°C) make it directly relevant to GCC airport ramp environments. Waterside economizer and multiple BMS protocol options (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks) add operational flexibility.

The procurement engineer should specify the 30RC where loads fall below 140 tons or where noise is the primary constraint, and the 30XV for loads from 140 tons upward or where a single large machine is preferred over paralleled smaller units.
