
YORK Titan OM Custom-Design Centrifugal Chiller
Custom-engineered multi-stage centrifugal chiller scaling to 5,000 TR, available in electric, steam or gas drive for district cooling, process and industrial aviation-sector loads.
The YORK Titan OM is a custom-designed centrifugal chiller built for applications that exceed the capacity ceiling of catalogue-standard products. Cooling capacity spans 1,200 to 4,200 TR (4,000–15,000 kW) at standard configurations; multi-stage Titan builds extend to 5,000 TR. Heating duties run from 17,000 to 68,000 MBH (5,000–20,000 kW) when configured as a heat pump.
Unlike the rest of the YORK centrifugal line, the Titan OM is offered in electric, steam or gas drive — the non-electric options enable integration in sites with on-site steam generation or in regions where gas supply is lower-cost than grid electricity. Condensing can be water-cooled or air-cooled. The machine can be configured for water chilling, brine cooling, or ice building, and the compressor staging and impeller geometry are engineered to the specific duty point rather than selected from a fixed performance map.
The Titan is the natural selection for district cooling plants serving airport campuses, city-scale thermal utility infrastructure, and large industrial processes. Its principal differentiator is scope of customisation: inlet guide vane and variable-speed options, multiple refrigerant choices, alternative vessel materials for brine and process duties, seismic certification, and full BMS integration are all configurable at the engineering stage.
