The TWIN-Series is Mototok's mid-range family of fully electric, remote-controlled towbarless tugs, spanning 39 to 85 tonnes across six models and built around an extremely low platform - as little as 324 mm high on the Flat versions with 85 mm ground clearance - that slides under low-slung business-jet fuselages and radome overhangs where conventional tractors cannot reach. One operator with the TUV-certified radio remote loads, secures and moves the aircraft; the hydraulic nosewheel clamping system engages automatically in about 10 seconds with no straps, belts or crawling under the airframe, and handles single and double nosewheels plus wheeled helicopters on the same machine.

The flagship TWIN 7500 NG tows aircraft up to 75 t (7.5 t nosewheel load) - covering everything from a Pilatus PC-12 through Citations, Learjets, Phenoms, Praetors, Challengers and Globals to Gulfstreams and the Boeing Business Jet - while the TWIN WIDE 14 extends the family to 85 t with a 12 t double-nosewheel capacity, and the T 7000 variant is configured for terminal pushback duty. Sikorsky and Leonardo wheeled helicopters are handled without adapters, which is why the series is a fixture at FBOs, completion centres and military rotary-wing operators.

Power is a 48 V system with four maintenance-free deep-cycle gel batteries (4 x 210 Ah) driving AC microprocessor-controlled motors for 3-4 days of typical operation per charge. The onboard CPU exposes towing and braking forces, oversteering protection, diagnostics and log files to any phone or laptop, and connects to the Mototok Cloud for remote technical support; an optional AGV package adds autonomous guidance by ground markings, induction loop or GPS - technology Airbus, Boeing and Embraer already use with Mototok units on their production lines.

For Gulf FBOs and VIP fleet operators, a 2,100 kg machine that fits in the last corner of the hangar replaces towbar sets for a dozen types, and OEM-listed operators in the region include Falcon Aviation Services and JetEx in the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman's Super Puma fleet.

Best for

Use cases.

  • FBO and business-aviation hangar optimisation - nose-in parking in the last corner
  • MRO shunting of business jets and regional aircraft without towbar inventory
  • Wheeled-helicopter handling (Sikorsky, Leonardo) for offshore, SAR and military operators
  • Aircraft-manufacturer production lines (Airbus, Boeing, Embraer use Mototok AGV guidance)
