APCY-P Premium-Efficiency Air-Cooled Screw Chiller

The APCY-P is SKM's flagship premium-efficiency air-cooled screw chiller, covering 105 to 360 TR (369–1,265 kW) on R-134a refrigerant. At its core is a semi-hermetic screw compressor with a 5-to-6 rotor profile paired with a spray shell-and-tube evaporator — an arrangement where refrigerant floods the exterior of copper tubes and a spray distribution system actively improves heat transfer, compressing the approach temperature to 1 K for maximum cycle efficiency. Condenser coils are manufactured from seamless Hi-X copper tubes bonded to aluminium fins in a 4-row, 14 FPI layout, pressure-tested at 525 psig.

This model is the choice when sustained, high-efficiency operation in extreme outdoor ambient is the primary brief. It is certified under AHRI 550/590 and 551/591, holds ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018, and is rated operable continuously from −4 °C to 52 °C. Compressor capacity modulates steplessly from 25–35% to 100%, driving strong part-load performance through the shoulder seasons that dominate Gulf operating profiles. An electronic expansion valve precisely tracks superheat across the full load range.

The APCY-P targets medium-to-large central plant projects where outdoor condenser placement is unavoidable and ambient peaks regularly exceed 45 °C: airport terminal extensions, hotel blocks, large-format retail, and process facilities. It ships factory-assembled, leak-tested, evacuated and refrigerant-charged. Optional fin coatings — pre-coated hydrophobic polyurethane or Aeris Guard epoxy — address coastal and saline-air environments common across the GCC littoral.
