BB420 Beam Seating

The BB420 is UFL's highest-specification beam seating product in the standard range, designed for the most demanding positions in an airport terminal — high-dwell gate lounges, international transfer halls, and any zone where seats are occupied near-continuously across 18-hour operating days. Each seat module pairs a flexible polyurethane shell with a steel inner frame and is suspended on a cold-rolled mild steel beam with pressure diecast aluminium legs and arms. This hybrid construction gives the BB420 greater resistance to progressive deformation under heavy cyclic loading than single-material alternatives; the unit is independently tested to BS EN 12727:2016, the European standard covering safety, structural strength, durability, and fire retardancy for public seating. Per-seat maximum load is 150 kg. The fully moulded PU seat is available in 12 standard colours; custom Pantone matching is available subject to minimum quantities. Arm configurations cover no arms, end arms only, or intermediate arms, allowing specifiers to balance throughput (fewer arms = more seats per metre) against passenger separation preferences. Rows can be arranged in continuous runs, back-to-back islands, floor-fixed, or freestanding. A recliner variant (BB420 Recliner) extends the product line into premium lounges and airport hotels. In GCC environments, the PU finish and diecast metal components perform reliably under high ambient temperatures and intensive daily cleaning regimes.
