The ZP230 is the more fully-featured tier within ZIM's economy product family. Where the ZP210 focuses on density and operational simplicity, the ZP230 is engineered for carriers that want best-in-class passenger perception metrics alongside the same Crystal Flex fixed-seat foundation. The result is a seat that delivers expanded visual, knee, and shin space through an exceptionally slim backrest profile while adding a deeper recline travel — up to six inches — compared to the ZP210's four-inch option. A carbon-fibre seat pan with joint mechanism is available as an upgrade, pushing the weight envelope further downward without compromising dynamic load performance.

The ZP230 targets medium-to-long-haul economy cabins on both narrowbody and widebody aircraft where passenger experience ratings directly influence repeat bookings and channel performance. Standard fitment is comprehensive: a six-way adjustable headrest (or optional Arc headrest), a three-inch sliding single-sheet tray table, stitched fabric or leather lower literature bag, coat hooks, rear-facing footrest with 90-degree capability, and a secured life jacket container. An optional IFE monitor (up to 13.3 inches with tilt) and ACU power connection bring the seat to full long-haul specification without a structural redesign.

For GCC and wider Middle East carriers — where wide-body long-haul economy cabins carry revenue-generating traffic over 6-to-14-hour sectors — the ZP230's balance of slim-line density and optional full IFE/power integration makes it a credible single-source economy solution. The optional PRM features also support regulatory requirements in markets with growing accessibility compliance obligations.
