UW2000 Full-duplex Cordless Headset
Full-duplex wireless ramp headset for pushback, de-icing and MRO teams — no belt pack
Inbertec UW2000 is a full-duplex cordless headset built for high-noise airport ground support. It provides hands-free team conference for pushback, towing, de-icing and maintenance crews without a belt pack or tether cable.
Each headset joins one of 20 intercom channels (up to 10 concurrent talkers per channel), with on-cup channel and battery display, emergency alarm broadcast to the work group, and claimed working distance of 1,600 feet (~488 m). Passive noise reduction is rated 26 dB PNR. Headsets pair flexibly with no hard limit on group size within a channel, and the UW2000 series is catalogue-compatible with the UW6000 carbon-fibre series.
For aircraft pushback, UW2000 units typically work with the UGA100 pushback gateway (aircraft interphone station) so the ground team can talk to the flight deck, and optionally with the UGP100 half-duplex PTT unit for tug drivers. Headsets can also talk headset-to-headset without a gateway for pure ground-team conferencing.
Specs below are taken from Inbertec's Ground Support Wireless Team Communication Solutions catalogue (2026-07 RFQ pack). Independent type approvals and frequency band for Malaysia/airline ramp use are not evidenced in the catalogue — request from manufacturer before tender submission.
