The YORK YDAM is a high-density air-cooled centrifugal chiller based on the YVAM magnetic-bearing platform but scaled and packaged specifically for multistory data-centre environments and AI factory deployments. At 3.5 MW cooling output it delivers approximately 20% greater capacity density than competing solutions, meaning fewer roof penetrations, fewer crane lifts, and fewer hydraulic connections per megawatt of IT load served.

The magnetic-bearing compressor supports chilled-fluid setpoints high enough for 45°C warm-water direct cooling of the latest-generation GPU inference and training racks. Wide temperature differential capability reduces pump sizing and pumping energy — a compounding OpEx saving across the life of a large data-centre deployment. The zero-water design eliminates cooling-tower make-up water, biocide treatment, and legionella management entirely.

Packaged to fit on a standard 53-foot flatbed trailer, the YDAM minimises transportation, rigging and installation complexity — relevant in the GCC where port-to-site logistics for oversized freight carry significant cost. The unit is built on an award-recognised YVAM foundation, inheriting its magnetic-bearing reliability and R-1234ze low-GWP refrigerant. Commercial shipments are planned for late 2026. Although designed for data-centre primaries, the YDAM's combination of high capacity, air-cooling, and compact logistics-friendly packaging makes it a viable option for any large-cooling application where water infrastructure is absent or constrained.
